Rosalis[]

Rosalis is a "pseudo-OC" by Maxitox made using the 3D adult character creator software "Koikatsu" (with SFW intentions instead) and a confirmed character for the mod, serving not only as a PS2-tan copycat, but also as a counterpart to . She's one of the upcoming opponents for the PS2-themed demo.

Appearance[]

In her normal form, she looks like a 3D anime recreation of PS2-tan (presenting some innaccuracies like the lack of a gray plastic piece at the end of the scarf, or the stripes of the jacket/hoodie being placed differently), but with a light pink color palette over the entire body (except for the scarf and pupils, which have more pale tones instead).

During her unstable form, her body gets taller, her legs and right arm turn into cubes, her face changes to a maniac expression having an insane grin and wide-open eyes with bigger pupils having black circles and a dot in the center, the hair becomes slightly longer, the scarf turns into a stretched arc shape, her pink palette gets saturated and some details on her clothes disappear (like the jacket/hoodie stripes).

Meanwhile, in her true form, Rosalis' body completely turns into geometrical shapes like Expunged in his true form, but sharing a lot of differences, having a diagonal cube-shaped head with multiple triangles as the hair, a big octagonal screen showing the PS2 RSoD on it, a 3D model of the number 2 in the top of her head resembling PS2-tan's ahoge, one pyramid behind her head resembling a small ponytail, a torso made of two pyramids forming a female torso, four long octagonal rods as the arms and legs, squares at the end of each rod resembling hands and feet, two small cones resembling shoulders between the torso and each arm, and an orange halo with a gray rectangle having the four PlayStation buttons printed on it, resembling PS2-tan's scarf.

Trivia[]

• Rosalis was originally made in 2018 when Maxitox got inspired after watching a Dust Man video of her girlfriend Pinkalis and her quest for collecting a limited edition pink-colored PS2 Slim. Max just edited some FumaImpact artwork and recolored PS2-tan with a pink color, then he sent it to Dust Man as a "greeting gift" for Pinkalis because of her achievement, of course this didn't ended up well and some time later, it eventually caused a personal incident with Dust Man which caused several trauma to Max.
  • After the incident, Maxitox vaulted his pink PS2 recolor because of how shameful he felt by creating her, until 2022, after making a joke cover of Cheating from Vs. Dave and Bambi with PS2-tan's voice over Expunged's, when he randomly got inspired to make a new character based on the idea of a pink PS2-tan copycat with 3D powers
• She idolatrizes PS2-tan to the point of obsession, inspired by Maxitox's past fanatism over /ctt/ back in 2018.
• Rosalis is PS2-tan's equivalent to Expunged
  • In her lore, she's Expunged's no. 1 rival and they confront each other frequently.
    • This is because she's obsessed with becoming the most powerful being in the 3D metaverse to parallel PS2-tan as the best console of her universe, something that Expunged is not okay with since he will not let anyone dethrone him.
    • Rapparep has stated that he's fine with Expunged being used in Rosalis' canon^[6]
• Rosalis can copy all of Expunged's forms, most of them being non-canon. Some of the forms that were mede for here are:

-Exploitation/form (Based on the 3.0 True Expunged design from )
-Opposition form (Based on Opposition Expunged from Vs. Bambi: Strident Crisis)

• Her Opposition form has 12 pillars making a circle on her back, this is a reference to the PlayStation 2 clock pillars as seen in the System Configuration menu.
  • In the center of the circle, there are four giant PlayStation buttons.
• She can also move from her Opposition form to her own Thearchy and Phonophobia/Exasperation form, but their designs aren't public yet.

-Crimson form (Based on the Crimson forms from Bambi's Purgatory + Definite Edition and Technological Gastronomy + Nightmarish Upheaval)
-Hell/_404 form (Based on Hell Expunged/EXPUNGED_404 from Bambi's Purgatory + Definite Edition)
-Godly form (Based on Godly Expunged from Bambi's Purgatory + Definite Edition)

• Rosalis is female by default, but since she shares the same properties as Expunged, she can also be whatever gender she wants, making her genderfluid in some rare cases.
• In her old design, Rosalis was intended to be a 2D being which morphed into semi-3D during her unstable form, until finally becoming completely 3D in her true form.
  • This got scrapped since Max prefers the idea of Rosalis being a custom character breaking out from the game where she was made.
• Despite being made in a hentai game, she doesn't display any behavior corresponding to sexual acts in front

of anyone.

• • She hates being treated as a sexual object because of the game where she came from.
• She has some social skill issues due to the lack of familiarity when she moved on from her home to the 3D metaverse.
  • Because of this, she sometimes gets bullied and discriminated by some Bambisonas (or any other 3D metaverse residents) for not looking like them and for the game where she comes from.
• There are some few characters who befriended her because they valued her as a living being like all the others.
• She brings up her scarf (or whatever the scarf turns into) anywhere she goes, and never takes it off, just like how PS2-tan does.
• If someone offered her to play videogames, she will only play PS2 games and absolutely nothing else.
  • She prefers to be erased from existence before having to touch any console that is not a PS2.
• She displays different emotional patterns and personalities on each one of her forms, being inspired by different anime stereotypes.
  • In her normal form, she acts friendly and cheerful with others while keeping a Genki girl personality with some twisted thoughts.
  • During her unstable form, she gains a more sadistic and insane personality with a very strong obsession towards her idol. Pretty much a Yandere girl.
  • Finally, in her true form, she becomes serious and silent, as she decides to act maturely by repressing her own emotions. Her personality resembles the one from a Kuudere girl.
  • In her non-canon Opposition form, she starts to pride herself excessively and gets a God complex by insisting that she's a 3D deity with God-like powers. This personality is based on the Kamidere stereotype.

XenoPS2[]

XenoPS2 is an upcoming character that will appear in the PS2 only-themed demo for the mod (along with PS2-tan and Rosalis). She lives in her own Sonic.EXE-styled AU and will be the main antagonist for a Triple Trouble remix featuring other 6th-gen consoles as her victims.

Appearance[]

She has the same appearance as PS2-tan, but heavily distorted, being 3x bigger than her, having Xenophanes perks (Magenta crystals, similar eyes), wearing a withered and rotten orange scarf, having blood on her eyes and fingertips, pale skin, darker clothes and long messy hair.

Trivia[]

• Originally she was intended to be made as part from an artist collab with different 6th-gen characters as the Triple Trouble cast, said collab never happened, and the idea changed in favor of an actual playable song rather than just a piece of fanart.
• According to Maxitox, she will be more than just a Xenophanes carbon copy, with her own lore and skills (citation needed).
• Her real name comes from Perictione, a greek woman philosopher who was the mother of Plato.
  • Max is still not sure of the name meaning in regards to the character
  • Max made a poll in the Team Advance public server to choose XenoPS2's real name. He gave out various names from Ancient Greece women and the most voted one was Perictione. ^[7] The other options were:

-Themistoclea
-Hypatia
-Timoclea
-Nitocris
-Xenoclea

• XenoPS2 is still allowed to be used in the mod even after the Xenophanes "Sonic" ban since the character is mostly its own thing.^[8]
